Toni Schneider's (1920 - 2006) work spans an arc from almost abstract detail shots to picturesque landscapes and sensitive portraits. Over six decades, however, his pictorial language has never changed radically, but rather has become more pointed and refined.

Schneider's great passion was to discover motifs in the subjectively experienced world, to interpret situations and events pictorially and to create photographic works of artistic value with the camera.
