The purchase of image licences is excluded from the right of withdrawal as soon as the execution of the contract has begun, i.e. the image file has been made available and downloaded.

The F.C. Gundlach Foundation's image database for image licences contains images from the foundation's archives. Use or publication of images from the F.C. Gundlach Foundation requires permission and is subject to a fee.

When ordering, the intended use (series title, title, issue number, year of publication) must therefore be specified.
Any use or publication of images from the F.C. Gundlach Foundation must include the following image credit:

The F.C. Gundlach Foundation provides a tonal-optimized TIF file without retouching. The user is entitled to perform standard retouching to improve image quality.

• Customers are liable for the use of the image material in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions.
• Image material is provided for the specified or agreed purpose. The purchaser is responsible for its contractual use. Copyright and/or ownership rights remain with the F.C. Gundlach Foundation.
• Image material provided may not be reproduced, duplicated, stored, archived, modified or used in any other way outside the agreed purpose. Distribution to unauthorized third parties for further use is prohibited.
• The customer is responsible for safeguarding the rights of third parties (e.g. copyrights to depicted works of art and buildings, personal rights, property rights to collections, rights under trademark law, etc.).
• The F.C. Gundlach Foundation accepts orders and commissions subject to reservation and reserves the right to reject them.

For business customers with a billing address in another European country, the reverse charge procedure may apply. To do this, please provide your VAT identification number in the shopping cart, enter your company name at checkout, and submit your order by clicking "Buy Now." We will then verify whether the conditions for reverse charge are met. If so, we will reduce the price of the image licences you have purchased to the net price, as you will be liable for the tax. We will send you the invoice and you will receive the difference between gross price and net price as refund.

The fees listed above apply for the use or publication of image documents, whereby the fees depend on the type of use (editorial, scientific or commercial). Upon request, the F.C. Gundlach Foundation grants the following volume discounts for the use or publication of multiple images in a single publication:

• 3 or more images: 20%
• 10 or more images: 30%

If the existing data quality of the image documents is insufficient, digitization can be commissioned at the user's expense.
