"Under the patronage of actresses Iris Berben, Angelika Milster, Sonja Kirchberger, Gudrun Landgrebe, and Hannelore Hoger, or the renowned fashion designer Vivienne Westwood – whose master students designed model dresses for the shoots – old age receives special attention that it absolutely deserves. What incredible vivacity and eroticism these pictures, and their aged models, radiate! The photographs capture the entire life, the innermost being, all facets of the depicted individuals, and make them shine. Once the viewer turns away, they are guaranteed to take on a life of their own. The moment was captured, but it seems to immediately spring back into motion. The photographer manages to animate old, often frail people to once again push their boundaries, to feel the unquenchable vitality within themselves, and to slip into roles they never even dared to dream of."
