Fotografie in der Weimarer Republik

Photography in the Weimar Republic

Peter Behrens Building of the LVR Industrial Museum
January 25 to May 29, 2022

The special exhibition "Photography in the Weimar Republic ," on loan from the LVR State Museum Bonn, will be on display in the Peter Behrens Building of the LVR Industrial Museum from January 25, 2022. The Weimar Republic lasted only 14 years and was characterized by contrasts in politics, society, and technology. Fueled by innovations in camera, film, and printing technology, photography shaped the face of this era like no other medium. The exhibition features approximately 350 photographs divided into ten themed rooms, offering a glimpse into the turbulent Weimar period.

A collaboration between the F.C. Gundlach Foundation, the LVR-Landesmuseum Bonn and the Deutsche Fotothek Dresden
