Toni Schneider's (1920–2006) work spans a range from almost abstract close-ups and picturesque landscapes to sensitive portraits. His visual language, however, never radically changed over six decades, but rather became more focused and refined. Discovering motifs in the subjectively experienced world, interpreting situations and events visually, and creating photographic works of artistic value with his camera was Schneider's great passion.
